Integrate Shapr into Business
So you're on Shapr and you see #blockchain and you know it's a crypto bot and you swipe left. You see the skinfluencer whose "current goals" reads "I have a good heart and want a partner" and you swipe left. You get some matches from what's left. Most don't interact. Some do. They don't put much effort into the conversation and you're getting bored. Does this describe your Shapr experience?
I will show you how I use the networking app Shapr. Most people I've spoken with find it disappointing for many reasons. The most common reasons for being disappointed are the following:
People do not answer in a timely manner.
Their inboxes clutter up with messages and they can't find people they want to talk with.
Their connections do not provide the benefits they expected.
You cannot change the behavior of others, but you can stack the deck in your favor. You can also change how you use Shapr so that you minimize wasted time and frustration. If you took my "Sell this Pen" course, you know that I do not have time to waste with people who are merely curious or have no need to cooperate with you. I apply these insights to using Shapr. Most of my interactions are meaningful and lead to new business, referral agreements, or effective members of my professional network.
Do I succeed with Shapr every day? No, I do not. I can only work with what's in my daily batch. But, I don't waste time on pointless phone calls with curious people who are better off on a dating app. I do not waste time with people playing with the idea of maybe running a business someday but they really want to talk to someone who runs a business to fuel their daydreams. Training & Qualifications
I've been in sales since I was 13. I started door-to-door for Olympia Sales -- they were a great company! They put ads in the back of "Boy's Life" magazine -- the magazine for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts at the time.
Because these sales were directly profiting me, rather than an organization, my parents would not "pass around" my catalogs or buy my products like they did with my sister's Girl Scout cookies . So, I went door-to-door: in my own neighborhood, in the surrounding towns, and in my Grandma's neighborhood and other relatives' neighborhoods. Then, when Olympia Sales shipped my items, I would deliver! I even paid taxes! I had my own business at age 13!
I kept doing sales for a while, got a couple real jobs, then joined the United States Army. Afterwards, I leveraged my sales skills into entrepreneurial work and later the financial industry, and now I'm back in my own business (meditation coaching & adaptive coaching), making a reasonable living for myself along the way. I am an experienced Shapr user. I've dealt with their customer service. I have experience on what works and what doesn't work for me. I've gone through a sometimes painful process of learning to use Shapr effectively. I've learned to integrate Shapr into my business and I can help you do the same!
