Resolve a Communications Kerfuffle
25
Communication is hard. And it comes in all forms - email, text, phone, Zoom and similar services, in-person, and in writing. I offer 20 minute consultations to help you identify communications challenges and then I'll advise you on tips and techniques to help you in your situation. Before your consultation, I'll ask you to send me an email describing your situation and any specific questions you have for me. This way we can get started right away when our meeting begins. If you think you need more time than 20 minutes, you are welcome to reach out to me about this to schedule an extra session time. I encourage you to be as specific as possible about what you want to discuss or learn; this will allow me to plan the session just for you and to provide you with resources that you can take away after our session.
Training & Qualifications
I have experience teaching professional communication, cross-cultural communication, and negotiation, and I also have background in mediation and nonviolent communication. I've also run a lively freelance business for the last 15+ years, in which I help individuals and organizations create strong communication, resolve communications issues, and become more sensitive to cultural issues in their personal and professional lives. My students have included graduate students in international affairs, mid-career professionals transitioning careers, and youth. I have a Ph.D. in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
