I offer conversational Spanish classes remotely or in person for all levels, beginner to those looking for greater fluency.
I worked and studied Spanish with accredited schools for almost five years in Panama, Colombia, Argentina and Spain, as well as in Guatemala. Having lived extensively in the Spanish-speaking world, I am very familiar the difficulties an English speaker might have in learning to read, write and speak Spanish. I can help you with pronunciation, grammar and cultural differences. I offer a neutral accent and can teach different accents if necessary. I have given media interviews during my human rights work in Uruguay, Argentina and Guatemala. I’ve successfully learned five languages (French, Spanish, German, Bosnian and Georgian) and can offer studying tips for learning vocabulary, intonation/pronunciation and how to “fake-it, till you make it!” I also offer experience working in human rights and peacebuilding in Latin America and can provide assistance in finding internships or connections in Latin America to broaden your exposure with the language.

For those looking to learn Spanish, hola a todos y todas! Spanish is a language very near and dear to my heart. I hold U.S. State Department certified professional fluency. Spanish is my favorite language due to its inherent poetry and the intricacies of each country where it is spoken.
