Do you want to become better dancer?
Build a strong foundation in Dance using Salsa basics and be able to dance to all music. In this class we will mostly focus on the Cuban styled Salsa dancing. This type of Salsa is less formal and can be easily used in social dance settings.
Salsa is a popular form of social dance that originated in the Caribbean. The movements of salsa have origins in Cuban Son, cha-cha-cha, mambo and Puerto Rican bomba and plena and other dance forms. The dance, along with the salsa music, originated in the mid-1970s in New York.
Incorporating other dance styling techniques into salsa dancing has become very common, for both men and women: shimmies, leg work, arm work, body movement, spins, body isolations, shoulder shimmies, rolls, even hand styling, acrobatics and lifts.

Training & Qualifications
I've been into dance and music for most of developing years. I learnt Salsa from my Salvadorian friend, Mateo, and his Cuban girlfriend at the time, Karin, back in 2013. They were phenomenal teachers and helped me set up a Salsa club on campus. I was the president of KW Salseros; the campus salsa club at the University of Waterloo. I have taught Salsa to many backpackers as well as friends.
