Working and learning in the fitness, entertainment, theatre, and non-profits worlds has been my avenue to heal bodies, protect the environment, express myself, and understand the world. Through wisdom building experiences both excruciating and joyful, there is no question in my mind that lasting change comes from healing ourselves and our societies.
Desiring to bridge the nuanced and fascinating exercise science of my elite ballet training with body positive empowerment and practical solutions for non-dancers and dancers alike; I obtained a NASM personal training certification in 2014. Along with client work, I have the privilege to work with seniors as an instructor with California Tai Chi. I have also been able to work with children, adults, and dancers with Youniquely Fit LLC, NYC Fit4Life, Equinox, and while developing my own class during my work with NYC's Power Studios.
Committed to being a voice for change; I have worked with organizations including Greenpeace, Vocal NY, Forests Forever, and the ACLU in grassroots activist roles in the fight for a just and sustainable future. I have also been part of environment justice oriented art and teaching projects including the Urban Pond Procession and Aquatic Parallels. As a performer I work in music, dance, and fashion mediums. I have performed on stages including The Yerba Buena Center, the Skirball Center, DROM, and Ruby Skye. I've exhibited work in NYC and Los Angeles, and I've worked in film, commercial, and music video projects recently appearing in a Nipsey Hussle documentary and a campaign for Murad.
As I continue to evolve as a teacher, artist, and healer I strive to create and be part of solutions that can get more and more people back into a state of balance and connectedness so our global ecosystem and human race can exist sustainably and heal.
